Green Fund

Cascais City Council has launched the country’s first municipal Green Fund, with the aim of financially supporting families in the municipality in implementing energy efficiency and transition measures in buildings and homes.

About the Fund

The fund, which provides three million euros, aims to reduce energy costs and boost the decarbonization of the municipality, in line with the commitments of the Cascais 2050 Carbon Neutrality Roadmap.

The support is targeted at different IRS brackets, with special conditions for the most needy, allowing the adoption of sustainable and efficient technologies, such as photovoltaic panels and solar heating systems.

1st to 4th IRS bracket

Applications through IPSS

Owned or rented permanent housing

Support in formulating applications

Pre-financing via IPSS – Private Social Solidarity Institutions

Co-participation rate: up to 100% 

5th and 6th IRS bracket

Applications through the Cascais Public Benefits Platform

Owned or rented permanent housing

Refunds of up to €10,000

Co-participation rate: up to 80%
